Well Known Long-time Shoals Physician Killed by Drunk Driver
Florence, Al – Dr. Robert T. L. Long, local Shoals resident and beloved area physician, was the victim of a drunk-driving accident on February 2, 2017. Dr. Long died from his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, Tiffany Nicole Balentine, was intoxicated at the time of the wreck.
In the aftermath of the fatal accident, Ms. Balentine has recently pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.
