In between college and law school, I went to work for a construction company to earn money to go to law school. Unfortunately, I was there one day when a coworker was injured due to the negligence of the crane company that was on the construction side. Now, typically when we see accidents involving a crane company, it's due to one of two things. It may be the crane operator himself was negligent in the way he operated the crane. But also we see accidents where the company that rigs the item, that is the item to be lifted or rigs the crane is negligent in the manner and method in which they connect that piece of steel or what have you to the crane to be lifted. And that's what happened in my coworker's case. The crane had been improperly rigged. Now, in his case, he had two types of claims. He had a workers' compensation claim because he was injured on the job. But because the crane company was negligent and they were owned by a different company other than our employer, he had a third party case for negligence against the crane company. So if you or a loved one has been injured on a construction site due to the negligence of the crane operator, or because the crane was rigged improperly, give us a call. We know how to help you.
