Uninsured motorist coverage provides coverage when there's an accident with a driver who either doesn't have insurance coverage or doesn't have enough insurance coverage. And we really have to look to find all of the uninsured motorist coverage that's available. If a adult child moves in with their grandparents, their grandparents' coverage comes into play. So if you have an uninsured motorist, the child, the 18-year-old doesn't have any coverage at all, his grandparents' coverage will come into play. And if they have a motorcycle or a motor home, then that coverage can come into play. But if you sign a release that releases the person who caused the accident, then you can't have the uninsured motorist coverage. You've released them. We've seen other lawyers allow that. You can't let that happen. Other cases happen when the person who caused the accident offers their money. You have to give your uninsured motorist carrier 30 days notice to accept or reject that offer. They can give you the money and keep the other person in the case if they choose to do so, and they have that right. You have to honor those rights. So these cases are complicated insurance cases.
