This video discusses the serious issue of water contamination caused by PFAS, known as forever chemicals. These substances do not break down and can lead to significant health risks, including various cancers. The video highlights regions in the U.S. where PFAS contamination is particularly severe and encourages those affected to seek legal assistance.
PFAS stands for polyfluoroalkyl substances, often referred to as forever chemicals because they do not break down in the environment. They are used in many manufacturing processes, including non-stick coatings.
Exposure to PFAS can lead to serious health issues, including various types of cancer, particularly those affecting organs involved in waste elimination.
If you believe you have been exposed to PFAS, especially if you live in affected areas, it is important to consult with a legal professional who can guide you on the next steps.
One of the hot button issues today is water contamination. For years, companies throughout the United States made PFAS, P-F-A-S. It stands for polyfluoroalkylase. And what those are are forever chemicals. What I mean by that is this. Once these chemicals were created, they exist forever to infinity. They do not dissipate with time. They are used in all kinds of manufacturing processes. Some of the most common are non-stick coatings on cookware. That's just one example. The problem is the manufacturing of those chemicals, once they were completed and used, they were not stored properly. The PFAS were placed in illegal dump sites or storage areas where they were allowed to leach into drinking water. And that has created numerous problems for people who are in those areas where their drinking water is supplied and they have that exposure to PFAS. Some of the cancers that are being caused now by P-FA exposure, these are what I call the flushing cancers. Bladder, kidney, colorectal, liver. Any of those organs where we flush things through our body are exposed to PFAS if you're exposed to it through water contamination. Now just think in your mind, if these chemicals exist forever, once they enter the human body, they are there forever. They are not removable. And that is why there are certain areas in this country, Minnesota, Northern Alabama, parts of Pennsylvania, where we are seeing high, high concentrations of these flushing cancers. Kidney cancer, bladder cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, all those cancers I mentioned earlier. There's high concentration of these cancers. And what we are finding are these PFAS exist in a high concentration in the local drinking water. For example, in North Alabama, we know that PFAS were dumped into the Tennessee River and the Tennessee River supplies numerous municipalities of drinking water. So if you, our loved one, has developed cancer and you exist in a certain area where PFAS may be located, give us a call. We know the areas, we know the regions. We'll help you.
